Housing association "Eigen Haard" asked wv-studio to propose improvements for the Reigersbos neighbourhood in Amsterdam-Zuidoost with minimal resources. Because maintenance on the window frames was required, this was included in the proposal.

Ultimately a combination of interventions was proposed:

Maintenance Eigen Haard: painting window frames.

Maintenance Eigen Haard: instead of cleaning garden walls replacing them by beech hedge.

Municipality of Amsterdam: "Greening the Neighborhood", free plants for residents.

Implementing these interventions at the same time gives the maximum effect for residents. Residents of the neighbourhood were involved in the process. Multle options for interventions were by wv-studio to the residents. This made the proces something that was done for the community but also by the community. A sense of ownership and control over the neighbourhood you live in gives an extra value to this project.
